APR 2 (7pm) : BOB LUKOMSKI: Music for Voice & Electronics @ Unison Arts
Pulling from such diverse genres as plainchant, art song, and popular and experimental music forms, Bob creates a meditative environment of mood and atmosphere. His voice, on its own and via processing and vocoding, forms the basis of his work. Sampled sounds and textures play off Bob’s minimalist synthesizers and vocals, coalescing in the space between music and environment.

Listen to the new voices on campus! Works by Brianna Flood, Aleks Pilmanis, Sion Kikuchi, Claire Boss, Jennifer Poroye, Darius Beckford, Brian Casey, Saahas Baligar and Kael De Berry.
APR 9 (5-7pm): SONIC IMMERSION @ the Glasshouse Art LifeLab
Curated by performance artist Lital Dotan, Sonic Immerson is part of a series of music performances organized over the years which examine the domestic surrounding influence on audio-centric performance experience. This performance opens their 15th season titled: The Captive Spectator-Performing The Otherhood in Motherhood. New work by Phyllis Chen, "Loss for Words" (for speaker cones and audience participation) will be featured, as well as SUNY professor Katie Downs in the Newborn Trio.

APR 12 (7:30PM): JEN SHYU's ZERO GRASSES @ SUNY New Paltz Studley Theatre
2022 Davenport Artist-in-residence, 2019 Guggenheim Fellow and Doris Duke artist, Jen Shyu performs portions of her latest one-woman monodrama “Zero Grasses,” a new collection of songs devoted to the marginalized voices of women around the world, and a profound elegy to personal loss.
APR 21-22nd (6:30 & 7:30 both nights): PITCH BLACK @ John R. Kirk Planetarium
Accompanying Raj Pandya's Planetarium Shows, composition students will perform semi-improvised works for electro-acoustic ensemble.
